The Engineering Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering design projects within the oil and gas sector. You will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, civil, piping, electrical, and instrumentation, to ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include leading, supervising, and coordinating engineering design activities for oil and gas projects such as FEED, EPC, Conceptual & Detailed Design. You will review and approve engineering deliverables, ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules and budgets, interface with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders, and monitor team performance to ensure technical quality and compliance with industry codes. Additionally, you will support proposal development, estimation, and resource planning for new projects, manage change requests and design modifications, mentor and develop junior engineers, and promote knowledge sharing across disciplines. It will also be your responsibility to ensure adherence to HSE standards in all design work. For this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or related discipline), with a Master's degree considered a plus. You should have at least 18 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role. Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on medium to large-scale projects is required. In terms of technical skills, you should possess a strong knowledge of oil and gas process design, plant layout, and engineering tools such as AutoCAD, PDMS/E3D, SmartPlant, and HYSYS. Familiarity with engineering codes and standards like API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, and NFPA is essential. Project management skills, including schedule development, risk management, and budgeting, are also necessary. Soft skills required for this role include excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients. As a Piping Designer/Modeler specializing in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality piping design models and deliverables for various industrial projects in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemicals, Power, Water Treatment, and Industrial Manufacturing. Your role will involve working with a team to ensure the successful implementation of piping design projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) for the development of piping design models - Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, and other relevant piping codes and standards - Hands-on experience in SP3D module setup and configuration, pipe routing, equipment modeling, pipe supports, isometric and GA drawing extraction, clash detection, and resolution - Ability to interpret and work with P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment layouts - Familiarity with piping materials, valve types, and industrial plant components - Experience in skid-based modular piping design is desirable - Working knowledge of SmartPlant Review, SPR, Navisworks, or PDMS/E3D is a plus - Effective communication and team coordination skills - Capability to work independently under tight deadlines - Participation in 3D model reviews and collaboration with engineers for design optimization - Coordination with process, stress, and layout engineers for finalizing pipe routing and support requirements - Maintenance of project documentation and ensuring compliance with client specifications, international codes, and industry standards - Clash detection and issue resolution using SP3D and SmartPlant Review (SPR) or Navisworks - Assistance in the extraction and verification of Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) This role requires a minimum of 8-12 years of experience and educational qualifications such as Diploma/BE/BTech/ITI.
