You are a Senior Manager responsible for leading the Reference Design team for GlobalFoundries" Fotonix platform, a cutting-edge Silicon Photonics technology. Your role involves driving innovation, creating high-quality reference designs, and ensuring the success and growth of the platform. You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage project timelines, and provide technical leadership to the team. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage a team of designers in developing Silicon Photonics Reference Designs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. - Drive innovation and development of new silicon photonics technologies and solutions. - Ensure successful project execution meeting quality, cost, and timeline objectives. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning. - Interface with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and provide technical support. - Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in silicon photonics technology. - Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting EHSS requirements and programs. Required Qualifications - MS or PhD with specialization in Opto-electronics/photonics and 10+ years of experience. - Proven experience in Silicon Photonics design, fabrication, and testing. - Strong knowledge of optical communication systems and components. - Leadership and management skills with experience leading technical teams. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Experience with project management and managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in silicon photonics design. Preferred Qualifications - Relevant industry experience in PDK, design flows, and methodology development. - Proficiency in SiPh design and simulation tools: Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS, Ansys Lumerical, Flex Compute. - Experience with test setup and instrumentation such as Optical Spectrum Analyzer, Power meter, etc. GlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
