Key Responsibilities 1. BESS Technical Advisory Provide end-to-end technical advisory for C&I and utility-scale BESS projects. Guide clients on battery chemistry selection, optimal sizing, system architecture, and lifecycle performance strategies. Collaborate with EMS vendors to configure controls for energy arbitrage, peak shaving, frequency regulation, and load shifting. 5. Standards & Safety Compliance Ensure systems meet international standards such as IEC 62933, UL 9540, IEEE 1547, NFPA 855, and country-specific grid codes. Oversee battery fire safety, hazard analysis, and thermal runaway risk mitigation. 6. Cross-functional Support Collaborate with BD/sales teams as technical SME for BESS proposals. Coordinate with procurement, OEMs, and EPC teams for system procurement, cost optimization, and vendor management. Train junior engineers and project managers on BESS technologies and practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Energy Systems, Power Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience in energy storage system design, execution, and advisory. Proven experience in BESS consulting or technical advisory role in at least 2–3 utility-scale or large C&I projects . Strong understanding of battery chemistries (LFP, NMC, flow batteries) and real-world battery degradation modeling. Working knowledge of EMS algorithms , grid interaction , and dispatch logics .
