JD: CMM Programmer Job Description Summary The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy of manufactured parts and prepare detailed report. Detailed knowledge about various Hexagon machines (preferred). Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings. Critical Experience Overall 3+ years of experience in the areas of Metrology/Quality Assurance, in Manufacturing Industries is preferable (5+ years for candidates with Diploma) Competent knowledge of GD&T (ASME / ISO GPS) concepts and experience with its application in product design and validation. We are seeking a skilled CMM Operator with experience in Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo, or Accurate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) . The candidate will be responsible for operating, programming, & maintaining CMMs in quality control and inspection.

CMM Operator Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspection and Measurement: Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment as per specifications and engineering drawings. Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD models for measurement requirements. Measure complex geometries to ensure part conformity and precision. 2. Programming and Operation: Create, edit, and troubleshoot CMM programs (commonly in PC-DMIS, Poly works, Calypso, or similar software). Operate and maintain CMM equipment for efficient workflow. Conduct first article inspections and generate FAI reports. 3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze measurement results and document deviations from specified tolerances. Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure data accuracy. Communicate findings with quality, production, and engineering teams. 4. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular calibration of CMM machines to maintain accuracy. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or issues. Ensure proper care and handling of inspection tools and gauges. 5. Compliance and Safety: Follow safety guidelines while operating machines and equipment. Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent). 6. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements for inspection procedures. Collaborate with teams to resolve quality-related issues. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma At least 3-4 years of related experience within a CMM Machine operating & inspection. Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Poly works). Strong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Hands-on experience with CMM equipment and inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Analytical and problem-solving skills to address inspection and quality issues. Attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and reporting. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Role & responsibilities Responsible for developing offline CMM Programming and execution in PCDMIS software. Continuous shop floor support for FAI, Trouble shooting, Continuous improvement and for production parts in CMM inspection. Carry out programming related activity for example: CMM program collision detection, Validation, SOP. Knowledge of OMM and Equator machine. Knowledge of machining of aerospace components Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, Steel, Forging ranging from smaller to larger parts. Strong knowledge of engineering, engineering drawing, manufacturing process, requirement for aerospace industry and GD&T. Attending cross functional team meeting to define inspection technique. Good communication skills, to interact with cross functional teams during new product development.
