PCB Layout Engineer

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible for the detailed PCB layout design and development activities for products Should be responsible to adhere the DFM/DFA and DFT process and preparing the files for PCB Fabrication and Assembly Execute the High speed Design boards and support team members to develop skill sets Review the deliverables of the fellow team members to reduce the errors recommend improvements Perform project updates according to changing customer requirements. Familiarity with Eagle or equivalent software for Production Data Generation - Gerber, Stencil, Pick and Place data, In Circuit Test data generation, PCB panelization (If needed) Experience in coordination with EMS plant to do Feasibility Studies and to support any Manufacturing issues for both PCB/PCBA Supplier Coordinating with other Domains (Project team) - Hardware, Mechanical Designing, Manufacturing for timely delivery Ensuring timely completion of tasks as a part of the Global Development Network. Agreeing and following up targets for PCB development with the project manager in terms of quality, costs, and timing in agreement with the superior according to existing processes and methods Create logical and physical design and service schematics MCAD/ ECAD integration to create wiring harness drawings Requirements: Very good understanding of Electrical schematics and Electrical topology Extensive hands on experience on ECAD tools for harness design Must be aware of load calculations & fuse selections basics Exposure to Electrical components selection criteria & exposure to Design of Electrical sub-systems Design Grounding and fusing strategy, wire sizing Requires a broad knowledge of PCB Layout Engineering practices, manufacturing process and IPC standards Technical expertise in High Speed Digital , Analog and Power Supply designs Experience in board layout for x86 based Computing, Server and Storage Application domain. Familiarity in High End Processor based Motherboard Design, DDRx memory interfaces, Ethernet interfaces Familiarity with Signal Integrity concepts and its implementation Solid understanding of manufacturing pcb assembly flows. Hands-on experience in creation of footprints and sound knowledge of IPC Standards like IPC2221A, IPC-SM-782 and IPC 7351, UL and MIL standards, PCB library management, Prepare schematics, and perform layout design. Thermal management, Enclosure designs.
