Job Title: Senior Operations Engineer Telecom BSS Location: Zirakpur, Chandigarh Experience: 3 to 5 Years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Engineer with proven expertise in the Telecom BSS (Business Support Systems) domain . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of systems such as Product Catalog, CRM, Billing, and other BSS modules, combined with technical and analytical skills to ensure smooth operations and process optimization. Key Responsibilities Manage and support day-to-day operations across Telecom BSS applications including Product Catalog (PCAT), CRM, Billing, Customer Management, Order Management, and CRM modules . Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues within defined SLA timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Business teams) to deliver seamless operational support and system improvements. Monitor system performance, identify areas of optimization, and implement preventive and corrective measures. Provide root cause analysis within agreed SLAs and create knowledge base documents for recurring issues. Participate in deployment activities, configuration changes, and system upgrades with minimal downtime. Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience in Telecom BSS domain with exposure to PCAT, Billing, and related modules. Strong understanding of Telecom product lifecycle, order-to-cash processes, and customer management systems . Proficiency in Incident management, Monitoring tools, and root cause analysis. Ability to work on SQL queries, scripting, and data investigation for troubleshooting. Familiarity with Mongo Database . Familiarity with ITIL practices in operations management. Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills. Preferred Skills Knowledge of charging, mediation, or provisioning systems in telecom. Experience with automation tools for operational efficiency. Exposure to cloud-native platforms and containerized deployments. Prior experience in cross-region/global telecom environments. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication , or a related field.
