As a Field Service Engineer I at HPS Lifecycle Solutions & Services based in Kolkata, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, corrective and emergency maintenance visits at customer sites on DCS/Safety PLC/SCADA systems. Your duties will include backup, modification, report submission, supervision, and cleaning of existing systems. In addition, you will be involved in corrective maintenance to restore systems from faults, shutdown maintenance, logistics management, PC troubleshooting, and networking. You will need to document your work extensively, with about 40% of your time dedicated to documentation. Special tasks such as sales lead generation and collaboration will also be part of your responsibilities. It is essential to have in-depth knowledge of DCS and PLC systems, along with hands-on experience. Your troubleshooting skills should be matured, allowing you to independently resolve problems on these platforms. Customer satisfaction is a key focus of this role, as you will need to understand customer needs and provide service support both on-site and remotely. You will also be required to build, develop, and sustain customer relationships while ensuring adherence to Honeywell Process and Quality matrices. Planning site visits according to SLAs and revenue plans is crucial, with travel expected to be between 80% to 90% of the time in the eastern part of India. Being available 24/7 for support during emergencies is mandatory, along with executing service projects and migrations. Your communication skills, both oral and written, should be fluent to effectively interact with customers. Identifying prospects, conducting pre-sales site assessments, and developing leads will be part of your regular activities. Compliance with ISO, HSE, commercial guidelines, and all Honeywell Process standards is a must. You will act as the primary contact for designated customers and may be designated as a Site Support Specialist (Resident Support Engineer) as needed. Other mandatory conditions include following office processes accurately and timely, maintaining politeness, good communication skills, and adhering to the standard leave policy. To qualify for this role, you must have a B.E. degree in Instrumentation/Electronics.
