As a potential candidate for this role, you should hold a Diploma/BSC/BCA/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or Equivalent. Possessing certifications such as CCNA, Comp TIA Network+, MTA (Windows Server) would be beneficial but not mandatory. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with the setup and management of Windows Server and Active Directory (AD), maintaining user accounts, group policies (GPO), DNS/DHCP, supporting NAS storage systems (QNAP/Synology) for user access, folders, and backups, monitoring and reporting on backup health and DLM practices, providing first-level support to end users for hardware, network, and software issues, supporting deployment of design software, configuring and maintaining Fortinet firewalls and inter-office VPN connectivity, maintaining IT asset logs, documentation, and SOPs, and coordinating with vendors or remote support teams as needed. To excel in this role, you should have a basic knowledge of IP networking (IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN), be familiar with Windows OS, PC setup, and troubleshooting, understand basic server concepts (Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP), have an interest or exposure to firewalls and network storage systems (NAS), possess effective communication skills, be willing to learn and take initiative in a small team environment. You will be working with tools and technologies such as Windows Server 2022/2025, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Fortinet FortiGate firewall, QNAP NAS, Engineering Design software environments, remote support tools like Any Desk, Team Viewer, Ultra Viewer, and basic ticketing & documentation tools.
