Role Overview: As a Desktop Administrator II at Ryan, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing distributed desktop and laptop systems and software. Your duties will include installation, configuration, preventive maintenance, operation, and problem-resolution activities. Key Responsibilities: - Create a positive team experience - Assist in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems - Assist users with questions or problems - Assist with system backups, recovery, and installation of new software - Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, and order and replace parts as needed - Proactively update work status for US / India liaison - Recommend products or services that best fit customers" needs - Administer Microsoft Exchange mailboxes and users in active directory - Install, configure, and troubleshoot server applications and racks for servers - Administer Active Directory and DNS, including troubleshooting - Administer print subsystems, electronic software, and patch distribution - Administer PC auditing function - Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products and equipment - Conduct testing and assist in general lab work - Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop hard drives, monitors, and printers at end-user work stations - Assist system administrators with complex technical tasks, including debugging and supporting hardware modules and systems - Coordinate, move, and reconnect computer equipment - Maintain hardware inventory, spare-parts log, and work log - Complete installation and swap-out of server hardware, including server, disks, and communication gear - Document and maintain system configurations for disaster recovery - Set and maintain Firm standards for desktop operating systems, desktop anti-virus software, disk imaging software, laptop disk-drive encryption software, and desktop shrink-wrap software applications - Maintain desktop computers, laptop computers, and computer printers with current BIOS/firmware - Maintain desktop operating systems with current security patches - Maintain disk images with current versions of operation system and shrink-wrap applications - Ensure desktop software license compliance - Maintain current versions of Firm software on end-user systems - Contribute to efficiency improvements by process automation - Assist with other projects as needed Qualifications Required: - High-school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) with two to four years related desktop administration experience - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Internet navigation and research, systems administration tools, and scripting and automation tools - Valid driver's license required - User Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory certifications preferred Note: Ryan is an Equal Opportunity Employer providing a Global Award-Winning Culture, Flexible Work Environment, Generous Paid Time Off, World-Class Benefits and Compensation, Rapid Growth Opportunities, Company Sponsored Two-Way Transportation, and Exponential Career Growth.,
