Job Purpose: The AGM HR will be responsible for managing the end-to-end HR and IR functions at the Dahej plant. This includes ensuring statutory compliance, managing workforce relations, leading HR operations, and driving employee engagement, training, and organizational development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in handling HR in a plant environment with a proven ability to lead teams and get things done smoothly. Key Responsibilities: HR Operations & Administration: Oversee all HR functions at the Dahej plant including recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll coordination, and exit formalities. Maintain accurate HR records and ensure timely documentation and reporting. Monitor manpower planning and ensure timely availability of skilled workforce. Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements (e.g., PF, ESIC, Factory Act, Contract Labor (R&A) Act, etc.). Coordinate and manage inspections, audits, and liaison with government bodies like DISH, Labour Office, ESIC, PF Office, etc. Maintain updated records and timely submission of statutory returns. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement: Manage harmonious industrial relations with contract workers, unions (if applicable), and labor contractors. Address grievances and ensure resolution in line with company policies and legal frameworks. Drive employee engagement programs to build a positive work culture. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the HR team at the plant, ensuring high performance and continuous learning. Coordinate with contractors and third-party agencies for manpower supply and compliance tracking. Conduct regular reviews and reporting to senior HR leadership and plant management. Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate technical and behavioral training for plant employees. Ensure compliance with safety and induction training for all new joiners and contract workers. Qualifications & Experience: MBA / PGDM in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or equivalent. 1218 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing/chemical plant, with at least 35 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of compliance in a plant environment. Proven leadership and team management abilities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver results.
