Senior Service Engineer EV Tipper Trucks Location: Chitradurga, Karnataka Industry: Electric Commercial Vehicles / EV Tipper Trucks Experience: 3-6 Years in Service & Maintenance (EV or Heavy Vehicles preferred) Reports To: Regional Service Manager / Service Head Key Responsibilities: Field Service & Customer Support: Provide on-site service support for EV tipper trucks at customer sites in and around Chitradurga. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EV systems such as batteries, motors, controllers, BMS, wiring harnesses, and hydraulic systems. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance, health checks, and emergency breakdown support. Ensure minimal downtime and high uptime for deployed vehicles through proactive servicing. Technical Reporting & Feedback: Document service reports, fault diagnostics, and part replacement logs accurately. Capture recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering/NPD team for design or software improvements. Spare Parts & Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with the central spares team for timely availability of critical parts. Maintain adequate stock of fast-moving spares at the service base. Customer Interaction & Training: Act as the first point of contact for customer service-related concerns. Provide basic training to operators and fleet supervisors on the operation and daily maintenance of EV trucks. Warranty & AMC Support: Handle warranty claims and service processes as per company guidelines. Support execution of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) with key customers. Key Skills & Requirements: Diploma / B.E. in Automobile / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering. 3-6 years of hands-on experience in service and maintenance of EVs or heavy commercial vehicles. Good understanding of EV components – batteries, motors, inverters, BMS, and HV safety. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel locally across customer locations. Knowledge of service documentation and basic ERP systems preferred. Kannada speaking preferred (for local communication). Preferred Background: Experience in EV trucks, buses, or off-highway commercial vehicles. Familiarity with telematics and remote diagnostics will be an added advantage.
