Job Description of NPD Design Head : We are seeking an experienced and innovative professional to lead our New Product Development (NPD) design team for Tool & Die. The role involves spearheading the design and development of high-precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support product innovation, prototyping, and manufacturing excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the NPD Tool & Die design team from concept to production. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, QA, procurement) to translate product concepts into manufacturable designs. Develop 3D/2D CAD models and technical drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Simulation. Review and approve tool and die designs ensuring compliance with product specifications, cost targets, and timelines. Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, validation, and iteration of tools and dies. Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles are applied throughout. Establish and standardize best practices for design, testing, and documentation. Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement design improvements for reliability and performance. Stay updated with industry advancements in die-making technology, materials, and design trends. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in tooling development.

Role & responsibilities Preparation of the detailed process drawings & costing and review of all projects Get relevant technical information, dimensions of the components for preparation of the process drawing and fulfilling the needs to complete process drawing activities Preparation of BOI & BOM. Design mechanical components & assemblies using Creo, AutoCAD, Solid Edge. Create 3D/2D models, apply GD&T, conduct tolerance analysis, prepare BOMs, handle ECNs, coordinate with vendors & teams, and ensure design validation per ISO/ASME standards. Required Candidate profile Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics with 1–10 yrs experience. Design parts using Creo, AutoCAD, Solid Edge.
