About the organization: Pardrashita is an organisation working with the poor and marginalised communities’ three states. Our program focuses on creating awareness, empowering women and youth from marginalized and low-income families. We aim to facilitate the community women and children in accessing their rights and entitlements through developing leadership among community. We advocate with government bodies and collaborate with local authorities to make institutions more accessible, ensuring the delivery of essential services and safeguarding the rights of women and children. Duties and Responsibilities · Monitor and manage program budgets, ensuring proper fund allocation. · Track expenses, maintain financial records, and ensure funds utilized as per guidelines. · Ensure timely disbursement of funds for program activities. · Record all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards. · Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements while ensuring compliance with policies and manage payroll, employee benefits, and statutory deductions. · Ensure compliance with donor, government, and Pardarshita’s financial regulations. · Assist in audits, ensure tax filings, and other statutory obligations are met on time. · Work closely with Program Director and Pardarshita board for statuary compliances and donor’s requirement. · Be responsible for any other emergent task that may be assigned by the organization. Preferred Skills and Competencies · Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting or related field. · Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial management, or audit (experience in NGO/development sector preferred). · Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and NGO compliance requirements (FCRA, Income Tax, GST, etc.). · Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP or similar) and MS Excel. · Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. · Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and donor fund management. · Ability to prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and reconciliations. · Familiarity with audit processes and statutory compliances. · Good communication skills (written and verbal) for coordination with donors, auditors, and internal teams. · High level of integrity, transparency, and confidentiality in handling financial data. · Strong organizational and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines. · Ability to work collaboratively with program and operations teams.
