As a Boiler Operator responsible for monitoring operations through a Distributed Control System (DCS), your primary role will be to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the CFBC boiler. You will be required to execute start-up and shutdown procedures as per standard operating protocols, ensuring smooth synchronization with turbine/generator systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis will be crucial in promptly addressing abnormal conditions, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures. Monitoring critical parameters such as bed temperature, pressure, cyclone performance, and emissions will be essential for optimizing combustion efficiency, fuel feed, and bed material circulation. Compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards is paramount, requiring strict adherence to plant safety procedures, permit systems, and operational limits. Effective communication with field engineers and technicians, as well as providing support to maintenance teams during breakdowns, overhauls, and inspections, will be part of your responsibilities. Daily reporting, log maintenance, and reporting deviations, shutdowns, and maintenance activities are key tasks to ensure operational transparency. Additionally, you will be responsible for emission control and environmental monitoring, ensuring that SOx/NOx/particulate emissions are within permissible limits and monitoring the performance of flue gas desulfurization systems and bag filters/ESP. Supervising boiler auxiliary systems such as ID/FD/PA fans, fuel feeders, ash handling, and air preheaters will also be part of your duties to ensure their proper functioning and integration with the main boiler system. Your role will also involve training and guiding junior engineers and operators, as well as staying updated with control systems and CFBC technology advancements to enhance your expertise in the field.,
