Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and skilled Chef to lead the kitchen operations of our café. The Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, maintaining high standards of taste and presentation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have a passion for innovative café-style food and beverages, with a focus on consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Plan, develop, and execute café-style menus (including breakfast, snacks, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty items). Prepare and cook food items to ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Innovate new dishes and seasonal specials to enhance the café experience. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including stock management, inventory control, and supplier coordination. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Train, supervise, and support kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and teamwork. Monitor food costs, portion control, and minimize wastage. Collaborate with management to align the menu with customer preferences and brand identity. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped kitchen at all times. Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in a café or casual dining environment. Culinary degree or relevant training preferred. Strong knowledge of café-style food trends, baking, and plating techniques. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Passion for food innovation, creativity, and customer satisfaction. Work Environment: Flexible working hours (including weekends/holidays, if required). Hands-on role requiring both culinary and operational involvement.
