As a Network Engineer specializing in Firewall technologies such as Juniper SRX and Palo Alto, you will play a crucial role in serving as an escalation point for the service desk regarding all network-related matters. Your expertise in Cisco, Juniper networking, and next-generation firewall technologies will be pivotal in ensuring superior customer experience and technological support. This role demands a high level of professionalism while executing daily network support tasks as needed. Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot end-user connectivity to and from offices and data centers. - Provide support and troubleshoot on-premise client network stack, including switches, routers, access points, and circuits like DIAs and P2P. - Assist in meeting specific client requirements for voice, video, and security from 3rd party vendors. - Create, manage, and troubleshoot next-generation firewall rules sets from vendors like Palo Alto and Juniper Networks. - Support IPSec VPNs with a variety of hardware, policy-based routing, cloud-based computing, and multi-site, multi-platform connectivity. - Collaborate directly with high-profile clients to grasp their needs and address potential network infrastructure issues. - Document all work activities in a timesheet using our ticketing system (ConnectWise). - Ensure effective communication with clients and peers, delivering timely responses. - Participate in an on-call rotation schedule. Desirable Skills & Qualifications: - Proficiency in Juniper firewalls and switches, utilizing Juniper Mist and CLI. - Strong LAN/WAN fault diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including expertise in Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, VPN, IPSEC, QOS, NATs, and ACLs. - Thorough understanding of the OSI model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking concepts. - Familiarity with virtualization and network integration within VMware infrastructure. - Experience with network monitoring platforms. - Knowledge and practical experience with Next-Generation firewalls such as Juniper SRX and Palo Alto. - Familiarity with Meraki wireless appliances. - Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively. - Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Team player with experience in a collaborative work environment. - Proficiency in ITSM tools like ConnectWise Manage or similar. - 2+ years of Networking experience. - Bachelor's degree and industry certifications are advantageous. - Flexibility for after-hours and weekend work. - Capability to work within an on-call rotation schedule. As a SOC Analyst at our organization based in Cochin, you will be responsible for kickstarting your career in Cybersecurity by efficiently triaging alerts and escalating them when needed. We are seeking a dynamic individual in the early stages of their career, who exhibits a strong passion for Technology and Cybersecurity, to be a part of our expanding IT Security team. Your main responsibilities will include triaging the most recent SIEM and monitoring alerts, evaluating their importance and urgency, investigating, documenting, and reporting any information security issues, as well as staying updated on emerging trends. Additionally, you will be conducting threat and vulnerability analysis using the tools provided to identify potential attacks and suspicious activities. Your role will also involve utilizing your interpersonal and technical skills to effectively engage with management, colleagues, and internal teams. You will be accountable for owning and ensuring the resolution of pending issues promptly. The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is essential to have familiarity with industry-standard SIEM, Anti-Virus, Email/Spam Filtering, and Asset Monitoring tools. Working knowledge with tools such as Rapid7, Palo Alto Panorama, SentinelOne, Nagios, or Proofpoint TAP will be considered advantageous. A good understanding of malware prevention, threat detection, incident response, reporting, and general IT infrastructure is crucial. Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Office365 & Azure, Citrix technologies like XenApp, and Windows operating systems is also required. Experience in navigating and utilizing a ticketing system, with knowledge of ConnectWise being a plus, is desirable. The ability to perform effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, is a key requirement for this role. Holding a Microsoft Certified (MCSE) or equivalent certification will be beneficial.
