Job Profile: GST Compliance & Advisory Executive Role Overview The GST Compliance & Advisory Executive is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations, advising on complex GST matters, and representing the organization before tax authorities. This role demands strong analytical skills, legal acumen, and a proactive approach to regulatory changes. Key Responsibilities GST Compliance & Filing Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-6, GSTR-9, and other applicable returns Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) and ensure accurate claim under Rule 36(4) Monitor outward/inward supplies and e-invoicing compliance Advisory & Representation Provide strategic advice on GST implications for business transactions Draft replies to Show Cause Notices (SCNs), audit objections, and departmental queries Represent the company before GST authorities during audits, assessments, and appeals Audit & Assurance Conduct internal GST audits and prepare audit reports Assist in statutory audits and ensure GST compliance in financial statements Documentation & Reporting Maintain updated records of GST filings, reconciliations, and correspondence Prepare monthly compliance dashboards and MIS reports for management Regulatory Updates & Training Track changes in GST law and notify relevant departments Conduct training sessions for internal teams on GST procedures and updates Skills & Qualifications Education: CA/CS/MBA (Finance) or equivalent or semi qualified (CA Inter/ CMA Inter) with specialization in Indirect Tax Experience: 1–5 years in GST compliance, preferably in manufacturing or large enterprise setups Skills: Deep understanding of CGST Act, Rules 96A/96B, Section 37(3), etc. Strong drafting and interpretation skills Proficiency in Excel, GSTN portal, and ERP systems Excellent communication and stakeholder management
