As a member of the Medical Staff Department in Mumbai, you are required to have a minimum of 5 years of experience post DNB/MD in the relevant area. In case of superspeciality, 0 - 5 years of experience is acceptable. Your qualifications should include MBBS, DNB/MD in Anaesthesia or Pediatrics, or Fellowship in Pediatric ICU or Pediatric Anaesthesia. You must maintain a professional approach with all patients, staff, and visitors. It is essential to provide medical cover, both routine and emergency, during your duty hours while collaborating with other specialties within the institute. Adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols is crucial, including wearing gloves when necessary and practicing proper hand hygiene. Your responsibilities will involve being available to see patients when required, participating in classroom and bedside teaching programs for postgraduate students and RMOs, identifying complex health problems, and reporting them promptly to the concerned doctor. Supervising postgraduate students and ensuring daily clinical management of patients under the guidance of Consultants are also part of your duties. You should be able to prescribe pain management medicines when necessary and communicate effectively with patients, family members, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Treatment orders must be written in capital letters, and each treatment sheet should be dated, named, and signed by the prescribing doctor, with reference to progress notes. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting Pre-Anaesthesia Checks, inducing Pediatric patients, and monitoring patients during anesthesia under supervision. Managing areas requiring moderate procedural sedation, performing procedures such as Lumbar puncture, epidural catheter, central lines, arterial lines, and being trained in PALS are also expected. Following on-call and duty rota based on departmental requirements, as well as participating in Quality Improvement Initiatives and organizational protocols, are integral aspects of this role.,
