Job Title : Pega System Optimization Engineer / Pega Performance Specialist Experience Level : [Mid-Senior Level] Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Pega System Optimization Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optimizing Pega applications, database performance tuning, and identifying system bottlenecks. You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our Pega-based systems, working closely with development, infrastructure, and database teams to deliver high-performance solutions. Key Responsibilities : Pega System Optimization : Analyze and optimize the performance of Pega applications, including PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) and Pega Infinity. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Pega rules, workflows, and decision logic. Conduct code reviews and recommend best practices for Pega development to ensure optimal performance. Optimize Pega configurations, including caching, threading, and logging settings. Database Optimization : Analyze and optimize database performance for Pega applications, including SQL query tuning, indexing, and partitioning. Collaborate with database administrators (DBAs) to ensure optimal database design and performance. Monitor and resolve database-related bottlenecks, such as slow queries, locking, and deadlocks. Implement database best practices for Pega applications, including schema design and data access patterns. Bottleneck Identification and Resolution : Use performance monitoring tools (e.g., PAL, SMA, DB monitoring tools) to identify system and application bottlenecks. Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and user feedback to pinpoint performance issues. Provide actionable recommendations to resolve bottlenecks and improve system performance. Performance Testing and Tuning : Conduct performance testing (load testing, stress testing) to identify potential issues before they impact production. Work with QA and development teams to ensure performance testing is integrated into the development lifecycle. Tune application and database configurations based on test results. Collaboration and Documentation : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, and infrastructure teams, to implement performance improvements. Document optimization processes, best practices, and performance metrics for future reference. Provide training and guidance to development teams on performance optimization techniques. Qualifications : Technical Skills : Strong experience with Pega PRPC and Pega Infinity (minimum 3-5 years). Expertise in database optimization (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and SQL query tuning. Proficiency in performance monitoring tools (e.g., PAL, SMA, Dynatrace, AppDynamics). Knowledge of Java, JVM tuning, and web application performance optimization. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter). Ability to analyze system logs, performance metrics, and user feedback to diagnose issues. Soft Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong documentation and training skills. Certifications (Preferred) : Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA). Database certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft SQL Server Certification). Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : Reduction in system response time and improved application performance. Resolution of critical bottlenecks impacting system scalability. Improved database query performance and reduced latency. Positive feedback from stakeholders on system reliability and efficiency.

Your role 4 TO 6 years of experience in IBM Cognos TM1/IBM Planning Analytics as a developer, Hands-on work with PAX and PAW is an advantage. Understanding and experience in TM1 Cubes/Rules/TI Processes/Active Forms/TM1 Web and Scheduling of jobs. Analyze business requirements, document, and build the application. What if scenario analysis, Forecasting/Budgeting/Planning. Understanding complex business requirements such as rules, TI process, model etc. Evaluate the existing process and identify areas of improvement. Knowledge on Supporting and maintenance Of TM1 applications/Planning analytics. Ability to work independently, manage small engagements and parts of large engagements Good exposure to SQL and MDX Query Scripting. Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. Develop TM1 objects (Cubes, Dimensions, Business Rules) without using wizard Experienced with TM1 performance optimisation (feeder & skip checks) Strong knowledge of MDX, SQL, Excel, Visual Basic Proficient with TM1 Security functionality and is able to design security layer for the data model Experience with TM1 Rest API Experience with relational databases Load data in dimensions and cubes for multiple sources like CSV and Database with Turbo Integrator Apply security at different levels like Cube/Element/Process Experience in creating Process through TI Self-starter, strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Proficient at financial modeling and quantitative analysis. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Understanding of business requirements analysis, user acceptance testing and change management techniques. Working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
