You are being sought to join our Paint Shop team as a Paint Shop Supervisor, an entry-level position that involves overseeing daily operations in the paint shop, maintaining surface treatment quality, ensuring proper painting techniques, and adhering to safety and production standards within a radiator manufacturing environment. You will work closely with senior staff, receive training and support to effectively manage processes. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily operations in the radiator paint shop area, monitoring surface preparation processes such as degreasing and shot blasting, ensuring correct paint application methods like spray painting and powder coating, inspecting paint quality for finish, adhesion, thickness, and curing, maintaining painting equipment, tracking paint consumption, recording production and quality data, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental norms, and coordinating with Quality and Production teams. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical engineering, possess a basic understanding of industrial painting processes and surface preparation techniques, be familiar with various paint types used in radiator manufacturing, demonstrate good communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills, exhibit eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative in a shop-floor environment, and have knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and safety standards in a manufacturing plant, which is advantageous. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers in selecting the right paint products, explaining product features and finishes, and ensuring a seamless in-store experience. This role offers you the chance to collaborate with a leading brand in a professional retail setting. Your key responsibilities will involve greeting and assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases, understanding and explaining the features and benefits of Berger Paints products, recommending suitable paint solutions based on customer needs, maintaining in-store displays and ensuring well-stocked product shelves, generating and following up on leads from contractors, painters, and walk-in clients, processing sales invoices and handling basic billing using the POS system, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sales area, and collaborating with the store manager to achieve monthly sales targets. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum qualification of 10th/12th pass (Graduates preferred), possess prior retail or paint sales experience (Freshers may also apply), exhibit good communication skills in Tamil (Basic English is a plus), have a customer-friendly attitude and a willingness to learn, and preferably have basic knowledge of color combinations and paint types.
