Position Overview: As a Packaging Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the packaging and labeling of products in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This entry-level position is suitable for individuals who have completed their 12th or 10th grade education and are looking to start their career in the packaging industry. You will work under the supervision of a team leader or supervisor to ensure the efficient and accurate packaging of products according to company standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Packaging Preparation: Assist in preparing packaging materials, such as boxes, bags, labels, and inserts, based on product specifications and requirements. 2. Product Inspection: Inspect products for quality, checking for any defects or damage before packaging. 3. Packaging Process: Follow standard operating procedures to package products accurately, ensuring proper sealing, labeling, and identification. 4. Quantity Control: Count and verify the quantity of products to be packaged, maintaining accuracy and adherence to production targets. 5. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory levels of packaging materials, notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. 6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper handling of equipment and materials. 7. Equipment Operation: Operate packaging machinery and equipment, such as sealing machines, label printers, and weighing scales, following operating instructions and safety precautions. 8. Documentation: Maintain records of packaged products, including batch numbers, packaging dates, and any relevant quality control information. 9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow, troubleshoot issues, and meet production targets. 10. Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the packaging area clean and organized, including proper disposal of waste materials and maintaining a clutter-free workspace.
