Key Responsibilities: 1. New Business Acquisition (Hunter Role) - Identify and target high-potential B2B clients across diverse industries. - Develop a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, cold calling, and networking. - Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and key decision- makers. - Create customized sales pitches and proposals to win new accounts. 2. Solution Selling & Consultative Sales Approach - Understand customer needs, pain points, and procurement challenges. - Propose tailored packaging solutions that align with client operations and supply chain requirements. - Educate prospects on company tech-driven capabilities such as vendor consolidation, JIT deliveries, and cost optimization. 3. Negotiation & Deal Closure - Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from first contact to contract signing. - Lead pricing, contract negotiations, and agreement structuring with prospective clients. - Work with internal teams (procurement, logistics, and finance) to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution. 4. Strategic Market Expansion - Identify and penetrate new geographical regions with high potential. - Develop sales strategies and market entry plans for untapped customer segments. - Partner with marketing to design demand-generation campaigns and targeted outreach. 5. Sales Performance & Reporting - Consistently achieve and exceed sales revenue targets. - Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM tools. - Provide weekly/monthly reports on pipeline status, key deals, and market trends. Market Development & Sales Growth: Develop and expand the customer base across the food, pharma, cosmetics, and perfumery segments. Drive sales of primary, secondary, and tertiary paper-based packaging such as cartons, sleeves, inserts, labels, and rigid boxes. Leverage existing and new channels to grow business domestically and in export markets. 3. Product Innovation & Customization: Stay updated with global packaging trends, materials, finishes, and regulatory standards. Work with design and R&D teams to develop differentiated, brand-centric, and compliant packaging solutions. Promote sustainable and eco-friendly packaging practices. 4. Client Management: Build strategic partnerships with key accounts and brand owners. Oversee high-level client engagements and ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction and repeat business. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with production, design, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery, compliance, and innovation. Translate market needs into actionable product and service offerings. 6. Team Building & Leadership: Build, train, and mentor a high-performing sales and operations team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. 7. Business Intelligence & Reporting: Conduct competitor analysis and industry benchmarking. Prepare performance reports, sales forecasts, and investment plans for senior management. Qualifications: Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Packaging Technology / Printing / Mechanical / Industrial), MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Business Development, or Operations (preferred) Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in paper-based packaging, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience with premium and sustainable packaging formats is a strong advantage. Key Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of packaging needs for FMCG, Pharma, Cosmetics, and Luxury/Perfumery brands. Strong business acumen with a results-driven mindset. Expertise in materials such as duplex board, kraft, virgin papers, specialty papers, and recycled papers In-depth knowledge of printing, finishing, and converting processes Strong client-facing and negotiation skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal capabilities Understanding of regulatory requirements for packaging in food and pharma sectors Creative thinking with a keen eye for aesthetics and brand alignment
