The Linux Engineer (L3) role requires a deep understanding of Unix and Linux Infrastructure, including support for RedHat Enterprise Linux 3,4,5, SUSE 10, and 11 in a DMZ environment. You should possess knowledge in various technologies such as NIS, DNS, FTP, LDAP, RSYNC, Client NFS, Puppet, Email, Browsers, and Email clients. As an L3 level engineer, you must comprehend the critical nature of the job and be able to design and architect enterprise and web-scale hosting platforms. Your responsibilities will include administering application servers, web servers, and databases seamlessly. Additionally, you are expected to have expertise in cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, application hosting technologies, DevOps philosophy, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code. Your role will involve leading infrastructure and operations using these approaches. You should have a background in server virtualization, IaaS and PaaS cloud, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management tools, and be proficient in scripting using at least one scripting language. Moreover, you should be comfortable with building Linux and/or Windows server systems. Qualifications for this position include a BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MSc/ MCA qualification or equivalent, along with certifications on open source Operating Systems. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a system administrator in Microsoft Server platform and SQL ES is required. Strong scripting skills and experience with automation tools are essential for this role. You will be accountable for leading and completing team work as agreed upon, ensuring the delivery of quality work. The salary for this role is as per market standards.
