The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian South Indian cuisines and be committed to quality, consistency, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes (breakfast, lunch, snacks, tiffins, etc.) Maintain authentic taste and consistency across all items Manage kitchen operations including ingredient preparation, cooking, and plating Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for fresh and quality ingredients Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are strictly followed Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Train junior kitchen staff or assistants if required Requirements:Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering unit Expertise in dishes like dosa, idli, upma, pongal, sambar, chutneys, biryani, and South Indian thali Ability to manage kitchen timings for early breakfast or bulk orders Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards Good communication and time management skills Passion for traditional South Indian culinary culture Preferred Qualities:Knowledge of multiple regional styles (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, Karnataka) Experience in cloud kitchen or quick service restaurant (QSR) model Ability to innovate or modernize dishes while keeping authenticity intact Salary: Based on experience and skill
