Role & responsibilities Provide first-line support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues for end-users. Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals within the organization's network. Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up their workstations and ensuring they have access to necessary applications and systems. Manage IT inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of all desktop equipment and related assets. Educate and support staff on the effective use of technology, including software applications and best practices for security and efficiency. Document support activities and solutions in a ticketing system to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base. Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement improvements in desktop support processes and user experience. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in a desktop support or technical support role, ideally in a luxury or high-end retail environment. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems along with troubleshooting methodologies. Familiarity with common software applications and tools relevant to the luxury goods industry, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Professional certification such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar is a plus.
