The Gas Cutter role involves cutting, shaping, and preparing steel and metal components as per shipbuilding design specifications. You will be working with structural steel plates, pipes, and other metal parts used in ship construction and repair. Your responsibilities will include performing gas cutting operations using oxy-acetylene, LPG, or other cutting torches, marking cutting lines on workpieces, cutting and shaping metal sheets, beams, and components to size and tolerance specifications, ensuring quality cuts to avoid material damage, maintaining and setting up gas cutting equipment, regulators, hoses, and torches, following safety protocols, coordinating with team members for assembly and fitting, conducting equipment maintenance, and reporting issues to supervisors. To excel in this role, you should have 2-5 years of gas cutting experience, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication, knowledge of steel grades and cutting properties, proficiency in using cutting templates and measurement tools, familiarity with shipbuilding procedures, readiness to work in various environments including heights, confined spaces, and onboard vessels, and an ITI or vocational certification in Gas Cutting/Welding. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work location is in person.,
