This is a full-time role of a Senior Manager - EHV Design & Engineering located in Kondwa, Pune. As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and engineering of Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems. Your principal responsibilities will include conducting detailed system studies such as load flow and short circuit analysis, designing the overall configuration of the EHV substation with redundancy, protection, and fail-safe mechanisms. You will be responsible for developing single line diagrams, defining specifications for major electrical equipment, and selecting appropriate cable sizes. Additionally, you will design layout for high-voltage equipment, busbar systems, and develop interconnection schemes. Designing protection schemes, control logic, automation schemes, metering & instrumentation systems will also fall under your purview. Your role will involve transformer sizing, switchgear sizing, capacitor bank & reactor design, as well as integration with renewable energy systems. You will act as the technical advisor to the project owner, providing expert guidance on all aspects of EHV substation & transmission line design, construction, & commissioning, including reviewing and approving design documents and drawings. You will conduct thorough technical evaluation of vendor proposals, review equipment designs, and ensure compliance with project requirements. Staying updated on emerging technologies in EHV systems and incorporating them into designs where applicable will be crucial. You will also be responsible for conducting design reviews, maintaining comprehensive design documentation, and coordinating with civil engineers for appropriate foundations for high-voltage equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating documents and writing reports according to specifications is necessary. You should also be capable of conducting research and traveling to sites, demonstrating time management and professionalism. As part of your role, you will work on various National and International projects related to Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and Storage projects, involving Basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering, Owners Engineering, and Lenders Engineering. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in the renewable industry, preferably in consulting within the mentioned areas. In addition to technical skills, good communication skills in English, strong interpersonal skills, self-discipline, the ability to work on multiple projects as a team member or Project Manager, excellent organizing abilities, and proficiency in prioritizing tasks and coordination are expected. A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is essential, while a Master's Degree in Energy Studies, Energy System Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Solar Energy is preferable.
