Procurement & Logistics: Prepare and issue procurement documents (RFQs, tenders) for electrical equipment and materials. Evaluate bids from suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery. Manage logistics and transportation of equipment and materials to the project site. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and efficient material delivery. Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients (Principal Employer). Respond to client queries and concerns promptly and professionally. Conduct regular project status meetings with clients and stakeholders. Present project progress reports and updates to clients and management. Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of substation design, engineering, and construction. Ensure adherence to relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team. Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems effectively. Coordination & Collaboration: Coordinate with civil engineering teams on site preparation and infrastructure development. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical contractors to ensure smooth project execution. Maintain effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders. Quality Control & Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with standards. Investigate and resolve quality-related issues. Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures on the project site. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety training programs. Minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. 8+ years of experience in the design, engineering, and construction of electrical substations. Proven experience in managing EPC projects, preferably in the power sector. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC), and safety regulations. Experience in procurement, contract management, and logistics. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Tamil, English and Hindi Basic understanding of civil engineering principles is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
