SHIFT TIME : US Rotational SHIFTS +NIGHT SHIFT ALLOWANCE Logistics done differently As the Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for performing all functions of customer service, as well as order entry, daily tracking of loads for all modes of transportation, and freight pay resolution. This position is responsible for resolving issues with shipments from carriers. Review errors, reports and fix them. Involves research and resolution of all issues and documents. Perform data entry or corrections of shipment information to match TMS, tracks and communicates root-cause analysis of issues to support continuous improvement. Monitor carrier performance/compliance issues. Perform data entry and track-and-trace duties Essential Functions: Enter shipment information into the system for approval. Contact clients and preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data Enter data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen and enter necessary codes Validate system data for accuracy of shipments. Research, analyze, and identify issues and errors on shipments, collaborating with internal and external parties as needed to resolve issues. Compare data entered with source documents or re-enter data in verification format on screen to detect errors. Work on manifest or bulk upload of invoices for the Spreadsheet Upload Process. Follow and apply all SWIs and process documents. Ensure efficient, accurate, timely and thorough completion of daily, weekly and monthly deliverables across all function of billing process Seek continuous improvement across all functions/processes and accounts. Assist Supervisor with prioritizing workload and update of account status. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, Technical Skills: Broad range of network and desktop knowledge, including experience with Microsoft Office programs. General Skills: Basic to Intermediate Excel is required. Knowledge of freight bills and freight terms; strong hold on accounts process and operational procedures. Hands-on experience on Freight Billing Process or Transportation is a plus. Excellent communication skills (oral and written); communicate effectively with peers, end users, and external clients. Excellent interpersonal skills: participate in a team environment and build strong working relationships. Good time management skills: ability to follow and create SWIs; multi-task and prioritize workloads; demonstrated analytical capabilities; effectively identify and resolve problems.
