As a Software Engineer (Technical QA, SDET) at our company based in Chennai, your primary focus will be on planning, creating, and managing the overall Quality Planning strategy. You will collaborate closely with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution and identify quality assurance process bottlenecks for improvement. Your responsibilities will include coding automated tests and deploying them in containerized DevOps environments, creating test plans, and developing standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness. You will be expected to collect quality data, test current products to identify deficiencies, and define key KPIs for product quality. Additionally, you will prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior management, document test cases, perform and document risk analysis, and record test progress and results. Your role will also involve driving innovation, streamlining testing processes, and conducting both manual and automated testing. You will be required to research and analyze product features being tested, as well as explore new tools, technologies, and testing processes. To excel in this role, you should have 4-6 years of experience and meet the following technical requirements: - Prior experience in video transcoding services and video streaming platform testing. - Proficiency in using testing automation tools such as Selenium. - Ability to code in Java, Golang, and Python scripts, with experience in functional programming languages. - Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. - Understanding of Micro-services architecture and cloud deployment, especially in the Media (OTT) domain. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and acting as a technical liaison for product development activities. - Experience with agile development methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
