The Sourcing Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end sourcing process for apparel products, which includes fabrics, trims, and finished garments. The primary Key Result Area (KRA) for this role is On Time In Fulfillment (OTIF), along with tasks such as identifying and developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing costs to meet the company's apparel production needs. The Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and profitability of the apparel business. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management: - Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers meeting quality, cost, and capacity requirements. - Develop and maintain strong partnerships with existing suppliers to ensure reliability and consistent product quality. - Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and address any issues or non-compliance. OTIF Management: - OTIF is the primary KRA for this role, ensuring all products launch on time and in fulfillment. - Conduct annual reviews of supplier performance with Quality Assurance (QA). - Pursue and recover all money due from vendors as a result of performance penalties or markdown and promotional contributions. - Ensure timely delivery of samples by vendors for first-time right approval. Cost Optimization: - Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers for cost savings while maintaining product quality. - Analyze market trends and collaborate with suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities. - Review and optimize the supply chain continuously to improve cost-efficiency. Quality Control: - Set and maintain strict quality standards for all apparel products. - Work closely with suppliers to ensure products meet quality specifications and conduct inspections as needed. - Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with suppliers. Procurement Strategy: - Develop and execute a strategic sourcing plan for the apparel business aligned with company goals. - Monitor market dynamics and global trends to make informed decisions on sourcing locations and strategies. - Manage lead times, inventory levels, and order quantities to meet demand. Risk Management: - Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. - Stay updated on global trade regulations and compliance requirements in the apparel industry. - Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to international standards. Vendor Contracts and Agreements: - Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers. - Ensure all terms and conditions are favorable to the company's interests and compliant with legal and ethical standards.
