As a Senior Associate/Manager in the Portfolio Analytics team at Morgan Stanley Fund Services, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley located in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in providing fund administration services to the world's leading hedge funds. With over $600+ billion in Assets under Administration, our division employs over 1,400 professionals globally and operates in key financial hubs including New York, Dublin, London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Glasgow, and Bangalore. Your primary focus will be on the Portfolio Analytics group, which specializes in analyzing and reporting investment risk and performance of client portfolios, OTC derivatives valuation, and portfolio transparency reporting for Morgan Stanley's global hedge fund clientele. You will collaborate with hedge fund clients and internal teams, utilizing proprietary web-based applications to deliver accurate and timely insights. Key Responsibilities: - Perform valuation of complex OTC/structured products using third-party valuation service providers - Collaborate with global colleagues and hedge fund clients to ensure accurate pricing - Enhance in-house systems for systematic pricing by working with technology teams and third-party vendors - Prepare customized client reports involving risk and performance calculation - Resolve queries related to performance, risk attribution, and other analysis Desired Skillset: - Strong understanding of complex OTC products across asset classes including equities, fixed income, and credit derivatives - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities - Experience with MS Excel-VBA or other programming languages is advantageous - Proficiency in verbal and written communication - Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently - Attention to detail and a focus on operational efficiency improvement Qualifications: - Masters degree in finance along with CFA certification - Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in OTC Valuation This role requires working in shifts from 12 pm - 9 pm or 1 pm - 10 pm and following the US Holiday calendar. Associate -OTC ( Over-the-Counter ) Valuation Knowledge and skills required Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills. Identify Operational Risk Areas within the Client Business Revenue Process. Supervise, Monitor, Control and Co-ordinate all activities in the department. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks, and meets strict deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and strong MS Excel skills required. • Experience of operations in a Fund Management, Custody, Reconciliation like cash and collateral. • Extensive experience of working within Derivative operations. • Thorough understanding of all Derivative product classes. • Process accurate OTC pricing / Trade booking on a Global basis within given deadlines. • Query resolution in accordance with time frames set out in Client SLAs • Work with the Vendors and other parties to capture OTC prices. • Resolve pricing / trade booking issues in a timely basis.
