OT Technician

Pre-Operative Duties:

• Preparing the Operation Theatre
• Sterilizing instruments, equipment, and the theatre area
• Ensuring availability of surgical instruments and consumables
• Equipment Setup
• Setting up surgical tables, lights, suction machines, diathermy units, and other equipment
• Assisting in Patient Preparation
• Positioning patient as per surgical requirement
• Assisting in pre-operative skin preparation and draping
• Verifying patient identity and surgical site

Intra-Operative Duties:

• Supporting Surgical Team
• Passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses during surgery
• Managing sterile field and maintaining aseptic techniques
• Handling Equipment
• Operating suction, cautery, and other surgical equipment as directed
• Monitoring functionality and sterilization of instruments

Post-Operative Duties:

• Theatre Clean-Up
• Cleaning the theatre and disposing of waste as per biomedical guidelines
• Reprocessing and sterilizing instruments for future use
• Documentation & Inventory
• Recording usage of instruments and materials
• Managing stock levels of OT supplies

General Responsibilities:

• Infection Control
• Strict adherence to hospital infection control protocols
• Emergency Readiness
• Staying alert and ready to assist in emergency procedures (e.g., crash cart readiness)
• Communication
• Coordinating with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other team members for smooth workflow

Skills & Qualities Required:

• Good knowledge of surgical instruments
• Understanding of sterilization & aseptic techniques
• Alertness and quick response during emergencies
• Physical stamina and mental composure
• Ethical conduct and patient confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,374.66 - ₹15,000.00 per month
