The role of General Environmental and Employee Health & Safety involves developing and implementing programs to ensure a safe workplace and prevent environmental incidents. You will be responsible for overseeing the HSE function for projects, conducting risk assessments, monitoring workspace safety, and tracking tools and equipment validity. Additionally, you will deliver HSE training, analyze HSE data, and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Your duties will include assessing emerging trends in HSE, driving behavioral change, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will contribute to Health, Safety, and Environment projects, maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies, and promote Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Degree/Diploma in Science/Engineering/Industrial Safety with 10-15 years of relevant HSE management experience. Completion of an OSHA training program is advantageous, along with the ability to work in a diverse environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Electrical/Mechanical symbols, incident reporting, and safety protocols is essential. Good communication skills and fluency in English are required.
