The OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) is an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 uniquely positioned as both an academic research center and clinical research site servicing industry research. Research conducted at the OrthoCarolina Research Institute allows the physicians of OrthoCarolina, PA to offer the best available options, treatments, and cost savings identified through evidence-based research. Our research findings are repeatedly published worldwide for the betterment of orthopedics. We are currently searching for a Research Application and Education Coordinator to work with our OCRI team in the Charlotte office location. This person serves as a critical link between research innovation and healthcare practice. This position is responsible for translating research findings into practical applications within health systems, fostering collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and community partners, and leading educational initiatives that enhance understanding and adoption of research-driven improvements in patient care. Essential Functions: Research Integration Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and administrators to identify opportunities for applying research findings in healthcare delivery. Develop and oversee implementation plans for integrating evidence-based practices into health systems. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of applied research initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed. Education & Outreach Plan, coordinate, and execute educational events, workshops, and conferences for healthcare professionals, patients, and community stakeholders. Create engaging educational content and materials to support the dissemination of research outcomes. Serve as a spokesperson and resource for research-related education in public, professional, and community forums. Partners with internal team to synthesize key findings from orthopedic studies and clinical trials into impactful, user-friendly content such as practice materials, infographics, summaries, and clinical resources. Collaboration & Partnerships Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, academic partners, community organizations, and industry stakeholders. Facilitate knowledge exchange between researchers and practitioners to promote innovation and improve patient outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Communication, Medical Siences, Education, or a biomedical related field (master’s preferred). 3+ years of experience in research coordination, health education, program management or clinical implementation. Prior medical or education experience required Skills And Abilities: Strong understanding of healthcare systems and research methodologies. Proven ability to translate complex research into practical applications. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
