NTT DATA is looking for a Software Development Advisor to join their team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As a Software Development Advisor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining e-commerce solutions on the ORO Commerce platform. Your role will involve utilizing your technical expertise in PHP, JavaScript, and related technologies, as well as your deep understanding of the ORO Commerce framework, architecture, and best practices. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior developers throughout the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include developing and customizing ORO Commerce modules, storefronts, and integrations based on client requirements, optimizing performance, contributing to technical design and architecture, reviewing code, mentoring junior developers, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting technical specifications, collaborating with clients, and contributing to project management. To be successful in this role, you should have strong proficiency in PHP, a solid understanding of JavaScript and modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular, proficiency in HTML/CSS, experience with MySQL database administration and query optimization, knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM) in PHP, and a deep understanding of ORO Commerce architecture, customization, and security model. Additionally, experience with version control (Git), RESTful APIs, testing methodologies, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Agile development methodologies will be beneficial.
