This role is crucial in translating our design concepts into fully-developed garments that meet quality, fit, performance, and brand standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Tech Pack Development & Management Create comprehensive tech packs for each design style, including: Detailed flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator Complete specification sheets with measurements, tolerances, and size grading Bill of Materials (BOM) including fabric, trims, threads, elastics, zippers, drawcords, hardware, and labeling Construction callouts for each section of the garment (e.g., seam types, topstitching, finishes) Placement guides for prints, logos, embellishments, hangtags , and care labels Colorways and fabric usage breakdowns by size 2. Collaboration with Design & Development Work closely with the Design team to translate creative concepts into technical documentation while maintaining the brand's aesthetic. Collaborate with pattern makers and product developers to ensure construction feasibility, cost efficiency, and material performance. Attend design handoff meetings , ensuring full clarity on style intent, fit goals, and material behavior. 3. Sample Review & Updates Review proto, fit, and pre-production samples to identify discrepancies from tech packs. Record feedback from fit sessions and communicate updates to vendors. Vendor Communication Liaise with domestic and international vendors for clarifications, sample tracking, and production timelines. Provide technical support to vendors for pattern adjustments, sample corrections, and construction improvements. Ensure all parties adhere to development calendars and product milestones. 5. Quality & Compliance Ensure tech packs reflect performance, comfort, and durability standards required for athleisure wear. Collaborate with QA/QC teams to define technical tolerances and test methods (e.g., stretch recovery, pilling, moisture-wicking). Support sustainability efforts by recommending eco-conscious materials or design-for-disassembly principles when applicable. Qualifications & Skills: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Engineering , or a related field. 3+ years of experience creating tech packs for women’s activewear, athleisure, or performance apparel.
