Ideal Candidate: Someone with professional experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of thermal control systems for satellites operating in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Responsibilities: - Select and implement active/passive thermal components to achieve optimal thermal performance in LEO. - Analyze thermal interfaces, heat sinks for electronic packages/avionics, and develop appropriate thermal control schemes. - Generate thermal control system requirements in collaboration with system, mission, structures, and avionics engineers, and perform design trade-off studies. - Generate test plans and execute tests to validate the thermal performance of subsystems. Required Qualifications: - B.Tech/B.E, M.Tech/M.E, or PhD in Mechanical/Thermal/Aerospace Engineering degrees in physics, materials science, or electrical engineering, or any branches (with a focus on thermal management), can also be relevant if the incumbent has experience in thermal analysis and modeling. - 3+ years of professional experience in thermal design and analysis of complex engineering systems. - Strong understanding of different heat transfer modes, i.e., conduction, convection, radiation. - Understanding of thermal management and implementation techniques. - Proficiency in working with thermal analysis software packages, i.e., NASTRAN, ESTRAN, IDEAS, Thermal Desktop, Ansys, NX Space Systems Thermal, or any equivalent. Preferred Skills: - Experience with thermal modeling, simulation, and validation through qualification tests, i.e., thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, etc. - Understanding of thermal design for electronic packages and avionics, including thermal properties of materials and space environment considerations. - Strong first principles thinking with a deep understanding of thermal design, analysis, implementation, and testing. - Familiarity with the unique challenges of the space environment and a basic understanding of orbital mechanics. - Experience in testing your own thermal designs. Digantara is looking for a Mission Operations Engineer to work on the planning and execution of our space-based SSA infrastructure. The mission operations engineer will provide expertise to ensure the smooth and well-planned operation of Digantara's space-based assets. Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed mission plans and flight procedures for nominal and contingency operations for Digantara's space missions. - Planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting of real-time operations from LEOP to decommissioning spacecraft. - Develop and implement methods and software scripts for operational automation to reduce day-to-day operator responsibilities. - Design and execute strategies for testing, simulation, and validation of mission/fault/autonomy design. - Support ground segment design and test, including command and control, mission data processing, and the associated infrastructure to support all activities. - Conduct critical ground segment testing, including radio-frequency compatibility testing, remote ground facility interface testing, and acceptance testing of critical ground assets/locations. - Participate in formal Mission Rehearsal events to train the mission team and to validate the mission design. - Contribution to operational documentation (Flight Operational Handbook, Mission Operations Plan, Commissioning and Decommissioning Plans, etc.) Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in science and engineering-related programs. - 3 years of experience in space mission operations, satellite systems engineering, or AIT. - Deep understanding of satellite subsystems. - Knowledge of orbital mechanics. - Proficient in Python or any other scripting language. Minimum qualifications and experience Required education and degree Type: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace/ Astronautical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Required years of professional experience: BS+10, MS+6, or PhD+3 Demonstrated use of Ansys DME software (STK, ODTK) and knowledge of multiphysics tools (e.g. structural, fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, thermal etc.). Competency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and familiarity with the following programming languages: Python, MATLAB, C#, Java. Demonstrated understanding of aerospace engineering practices, product development lifecycles, experience with building solutions using simulation technology, and deploying those solutions within customers engineering workflows. Track record of delivering exceptional customer outcomes and contributing to revenue impact with A&D industry. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers and a wide range of audiences. Fluent in writing and speaking English. Ability to organize and drive multiple complex projects across geographically diverse locations. Possesses a strong sense of urgency. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Preferred skills and knowledge areas In-depth knowledge and experience in Astrodynamics (orbital mechanics, trajectory optimization, mission planning). Strong understanding of Flight Dynamics (aircraft stability and control, aerodynamic performance). Familiarity with Radar Systems principles, simulation, and analysis. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools. Proficiency in Multiphysics simulations relevant to aerospace applications (e.g., aero-thermo-structural coupling, fluid-structure interaction, electromagnetics). Prior experience in modelling and simulation of complex aerospace systems. Knowledge of various aerospace subsystems and their interactions. Experience with space launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, or defence systems. Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
