Accounting & Invoicing Generate and send invoices to brokers and customers. Follow up independently with customers and vendors for pending payments. Maintain updated, real-time records of all financial activity. Driver & Equipment Financials Create and issue paystubs for drivers and owner-operators. Record and track all deductions and reimbursements for drivers, trucks, and owner-operators. Match settlements and reconcile payments weekly or bi-weekly with the owner. Issue and track lumper and detention approvals and distribute accordingly. Profit & Loss (P&L) Management Prepare Profit & Loss statements for: Individual drivers Trucks Owner-operators Entire company operation (monthly/quarterly) Be capable of analyzing and discussing P&L results and overall financial status with the owner. Required Qualifications Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in US-based trucking accounting Familiar with TMS (Transportation Management Systems), load boards, and freight billing Experience in dispatch/logistics coordination is a strong advantage Fluent in English & Punjabi (written and spoken) Strong Excel and email communication skills Familiar with driver payroll, deductions, and settlement reconciliation
As a Dispatcher at Orbit Trucking LLC , you will play a central role in daily operations: securing loads, scheduling drivers, coordinating with brokers, and keeping freight moving efficiently. Your success will depend not only on technical dispatch skills but also your strategic thinking and communication. Key Responsibilities: - Secure loads via DAT, broker portals, and direct outreach to brokers - Perform cold calling, email pitching, and relationship building to win freight - Assign loads based on driver availability, equipment, and regional lanes - Coordinate with drivers and the Track & Trace team for on-time performance - Work closely with accounting for invoicing, lumper/detention approvals - Resolve real-time issues (delays, cancellations, etc.) calmly and efficiently - Keep accurate records and updates across systems Critical Thinking & Strategy (Your Edge): A successful dispatcher doesnt just book loads they analyze broker patterns, spot high-paying, consistent lanes, and build long-term relationships with key brokers and customers. - Experience with DAT is essential, but knowing how to evaluate broker behavior, rates, and lanes is just as critical. - You must use common sense, experience, and sales instinct to pitch BAL Express's services and win reliable freight. - Youll be expected to identify high-value brokers, initiate conversations, and position our fleet as a reliable and preferred carrier.
