Oracle Apps DBA - Architect

As an Oracle Apps DBA - Architect at Centroid located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, you will be a crucial part of the Cloud Delivery Team, responsible for supporting large and complex client environments. Your primary focus will be on performance tuning, scripting, and automation. In this role, you will serve as a senior technical member of the Managed Services team, taking the lead in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in mission-critical production environments for customers. Additionally, you will handle all aspects of administration for non-production environments, providing root cause analysis and assisting users with issues that require advanced technical expertise beyond frontline support capabilities. To excel in this position, you must have a minimum of 15-20 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong background in production support, including proficiency with Oracle 10g/11g/12c/19c. Additionally, you should possess at least 15 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA with expertise in Oracle EBS 11.5.10 and R12.x. A solid understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture is essential, along with hands-on experience in implementing, upgrading, and tuning large Oracle EBS environments throughout their lifecycle. Your skillset should include expertise in Enterprise Manager Grid Control 13c, backup and recovery concepts (including RMAN), Oracle DB 12c/19c, Oracle RAC 12c/19c, and patch assessment and application in an EBS environment. Proficiency in performance tuning for SQL queries, EBS Application Tier (Forms, Reports, Weblogic), and operating system parameters such as memory settings, disk IO, and CPU utilization is required. Strong scripting abilities in Linux (Python, bash scripting) are a must, along with excellent verbal, written, organizational, and documentation skills. You should be adept at working with multiple operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Solaris, and Windows. As part of the team, you will be expected to provide accurate effort estimates, commit to deadlines, and deliver results consistently. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for non-business hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential. Collaboration and teamwork are key aspects of this role, requiring you to be a positive and cooperative team member. An educational background that includes an MS in Computer Science or a BS/BA in Computer Science with five years of relevant work experience is preferred. In addition to the required skills, experience managing environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), other Oracle products such as SOA, OBIEE, GTM, Agile/PLM, ECM/UCM/WebCenter, R12.2 Upgrade projects, and Oracle Identity Management product suite is advantageous.
