As a Database Administrator at our company in Ahmedabad, you will be responsible for database administration with PL/SQL work, designing, developing, and administering Oracle databases, as well as performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases. Additionally, you will manage and maintain backups & recovery procedures, install and maintain database servers, replication, and client environments, and design database packages and procedures. You will also be involved in reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, with 1.5-2 years of experience. You should have in-depth knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g with production support experience in a multi-project environment, as well as expertise in SQL and PL/SQL including tuning. Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager, Import/Export (and Datapump), and SQL*Loader is required, along with the ability to work with multiple projects/tasks and prioritize effectively on the fly. Experience of supporting multiple teams within a business is also beneficial. This position offers a competitive salary package and requires a willingness to work in rotating shifts, with the last shift ending at 2:30 am.
