Interdisciplinary Collaboration Work with other specialists (neurologists, endocrinologists, etc.) for systemic diseases affecting eyes (e.g., diabetes, hypertension Desired Candidate Profile MBBS with an MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution. Fellowship in a subspecialty (e.g., Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics). Registration with national medical council (e.g., NMC in India, GMC in UK, etc.). General Ophthalmologist: 25 years of post-degree clinical experience in a hospital or eye care center. Specialist/Consultant Level: 5+ years, including surgical experience in cataract and other ophthalmic procedures. Proficient in diagnosis and management of common ophthalmic conditions and Skilled in performing outpatient procedures and surgeries, especially: Cataract surgery (phacoemulsification preferred). Minor lid procedures, lasers (YAG/SLT), intravitreal injections and Familiarity with slit-lamp, fundus examination, visual field testing, OCT, B-scan, etc. Ability to handle emergencies like trauma, acute glaucoma, and sudden vision loss.
