• Comprehensive Eye Examinations:Conducting eye tests, including refraction and ocular health screenings, using specialized optometric equipment.
• Diagnosis and Treatment:Diagnosing and managing common eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye, and prescribing appropriate medications.
• Vision Correction:Prescribing and fitting corrective lenses (eyeglasses and contact lenses) and other vision aids.
• Pre- and Post-operative Care:Providing care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, monitoring healing, and managing potential complications.
• Patient Education:Educating patients on their vision issues, recommended solutions, and the proper use of corrective lenses and eyewear.

Retail and Customer-Focused Duties (Common in Opticals & Retail Chains)

• Customer Service:Greeting and assisting walk-in customers, providing advice on eyewear, and resolving customer concerns.
• Sales and Promotion:Recommending appropriate eyewear solutions, explaining features of different lenses, and achieving sales targets.
• Store Operations:Participating in stock management and maintaining the overall appearance and organization of the retail space.
