Fiserv is seeking a Mainframe Automation Engineer that has extensive experience in mainframe system automation technologies. This individual should be self-motivated and driven to help contribute toward the success of our mainframe technology initiatives. This person will work in a team environment supporting multiple systems in a highly redundant and robust mainframe environment. Responsibilities Include: - Create and Maintain OPS/MVS REXX rules, SSM tables, and programs - Resolve Automation issues - Collaborate with other infrastructure, application, and operations areas on their automation needs - Provide support during z/OS Upgrades - Participate in DR recovery and testing - Work with vendors for system support and problem resolution - Provide 12X5 on-call support as part of a team rotation - Ability to learn new automation technologies such as Python, Groovy/Java, and Jenkins Pipelines. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience - At least 12 + years of experience with mainframe technologies Preferred Skills/Experience: - Extensive experience in mainframe technologies - Technical troubleshooting of OPS/MVS issues - Complex z/OS Sysplex environments - Automating mainframe tasks across our environment - Subject matter expert in REXX Programming, OPS/MVS, IPL and shutdown processing, Subsystems such as CICS, IMS, JES2, MQ, and DB2, HMC operations, JCL, Knowledge of BMC products.
