Role Overview: As an Ops Engineer - L2 , you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing application performance, availability, and continuity of services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage application production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and implement automation for operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies and tools, supporting global teams and high-impact business applications. Key Responsibilities: Ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of business-critical applications. Manage a portfolio of applications and provide performance reporting to Application Managers (MOA). Perform incident analysis, resolution, and root cause identification for production issues. Collaborate in taskforces and workshops to improve processes and resolve complex issues. Oversee production releases , including risk analysis, orchestration, and release management. Create and maintain technical documentation , operational processes, and SOPs. Drive automation initiatives to optimize deployment, scheduling, and operational activities. Work closely with global infrastructure teams, application managers, and project leaders. Manage and monitor production environments using tools like Centreon, Dynatrace, Nagios, Zabbix , etc. Must-Have Technical Skills: Linux & Windows OS: Minimum 5 years of experience in administration and troubleshooting. Web Services: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IIS, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, JBoss, and WebSphere (5+ years). Job Scheduling Tools: Experience with VTOM or similar job scheduling tools (5+ years). Monitoring Tools: Proficient in tools such as Centreon, Dynatrace, Nagios, or Zabbix (2+ years). Scripting: Strong skills in Shell, PowerShell, and Bash scripting (3+ years). ITIL Processes: Good understanding and practical experience in ITIL-based processes (3+ years). Nice-to-Have Skills: AIX OS: Basic knowledge and exposure (2+ years). Virtualization: Experience with VMware environments (2+ years). Middleware/File Transfer Concepts: Familiarity with file transfer tools and middleware technologies (3+ years). Backup Tools: Exposure to backup solutions like NetBackup (3+ years). SQL Queries: Ability to write and analyze basic SQL queries (3+ years). Networking Fundamentals: Good understanding of networking concepts and vocabulary (2+ years).
