The post is fixed term for 1 year. The successful candidate will join a team of 12 Consultants. In addition, the Ophthalmology Medical Department comprises one Associate Specialist, 2 Specialty Doctors, 3 Ophthalmology residents, and one Glaucoma Clinical Fellow. Current subspecialty interests provided by the department include Glaucoma, Vitreo-retina, Oculoplastics, Paediatrics, Neuro-ophthalmology, Cornea and Medical Retina. Our unique geography requires innovative development in virtual clinics and telemedicine to meet the clinical need and standardised best quality of care. The unit has three Heidelberg Spectralis OCT scanners, a Kowa and Eidon non-mydriatic camera, Topcon specular microscope, Zeiss Humphrey VF analysers, Reichert ORA and iCare tonometers, Pascal laser, Belkin Direct SLT laser, YAG laser and micropulse and cyclodiode lasers.
