Opex and Lean

As an Automation Junior Engineer at our Coimbatore division, you will be responsible for driving automation initiatives across 12 manufacturing units. Your key responsibilities will include creating and implementing an automation strategy to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve quality and efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Industry 4.0 and Industry 3.0. You will lead automation projects from inception to completion, overseeing system design, budgeting, resource allocation, timelines, and post-installation evaluation. Your role will also involve guiding and mentoring a team of engineers, optimizing resources, identifying automation opportunities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Additionally, you will be expected to manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, integrate new automated systems seamlessly, monitor system performance, and stay abreast of the latest trends in Industry 4.0 and Industry 3.0 technologies. Training operations teams on new automation systems and fostering a culture of continuous improvement will also be part of your responsibilities. Preferred qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Management (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Operations, Industrial, or related fields) and prior experience in automation engineering and leading large-scale automation projects in a manufacturing environment. While these qualifications are preferred, they are not mandatory for consideration.
