About the Role:We are seeking a seasoned Active Directory Engineer to join our infrastructure team. As a Level 3 engineer, you will lead complex AD migrations, troubleshoot authentication protocols, and engage directly with clients to design and implement scalable identity solutions. This is a senior-level position requiring a minimum of 10 years of hands-on Active Directory experience.Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end Active Directory migrations, consolidations, and forest/domain restructures Analyze and troubleshoot authentication flows including NTLM, Kerberos, LDAP, and LDAPS Design, deploy, and maintain advanced AD services:DNS integration, GPO architecture, site topology Implement and secure cross-forest trusts, RODCs, and privileged access workstations Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, AD DS API) to accelerate routine tasks and reporting Perform health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning for domain controllers Interface directly with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, present designs, and drive sign-off Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge-share workshops across global teams Maintain comprehensive documentation of AD architectures, change controls, and runbooks Required
QualificationsMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in Active Directory design, implementation, and support Deep expertise in NTLM, Kerberos, LDAP/LDAPS, and related troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetMon) Proven track record of executing large-scale AD migrations and forest/domain restructures Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and reporting Hands-on experience with Group Policy design, OU modeling, and security filtering Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and network authentication flows Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills Ability to lead technical workshops, design sessions, and post-implementation reviews Preferred Skills & CertificationsMicrosoft Certified:Identity and Access Administrator Associate or Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) specialization Familiarity with PKI, smart card authentication, and certificate lifecycle management Experience with SIEM platforms for security event analysis
