Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare the operating room before surgery by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary equipment.
Check and ensure the functionality of all surgical instruments and equipment prior to surgery.
Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
Handle and clean instruments post-surgery; ensure proper sterilization and storage.
Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
Maintain and update OT records, checklists, and equipment logs.
Ensure availability of required consumables and report shortages promptly.
Coordinate with the anesthesia team and nursing staff for smooth workflow.
Adhere to hospital safety policies and protocols, including infection control and waste management.
Assist in emergency cases and support in other related duties as assigned.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:
Diploma / Certificate in OT Technology or B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology.
Experience:
03 years of experience in a hospital setup (freshers can be considered).
Licensing:
As per local or institutional requirements.
