As part of our expanding portfolio, we are in search of an experienced WTG and Wind Resource Expert to join our team and play a vital role in our wind energy projects. We are seeking a seasoned WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) and Wind Resource Expert with profound expertise in wind turbine technology, wind resource assessment, and site optimization to enhance energy production and efficiency. This position entails close collaboration with our project management, engineering, and operations teams to provide innovative solutions to our clients. Key Responsibilities: - Wind Resource Assessment: Conduct wind data analysis, wind flow modeling, and micro-siting using advanced software tools to optimize wind project design and layout. - WTG Selection and Evaluation: Assess and recommend suitable WTG models based on project-specific wind profiles, capacity, and site conditions. Conduct technical reviews of WTG performance and warranties. - Performance Analysis: Analyze wind farm performance data to identify inefficiencies, propose enhancements, and ensure optimal energy production. - Technical Due Diligence: Perform site assessments and due diligence on potential wind projects, including feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and grid connectivity evaluations. - Project Development Support: Aid in the preparation of project reports, including wind resource reports, energy yield assessments, and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders. - Compliance and Standards: Ensure all wind resource and turbine evaluations align with industry standards and regulations. - Client Interaction: Engage with clients to comprehend their project requirements and offer expert advice on wind resource optimization and turbine selection. Key Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in wind resource assessment, wind turbine technology, and wind farm development. - Proficiency in industry-standard wind resource assessment software such as WindPRO, WAsP, or OpenWind. - Strong knowledge of WTG technologies, performance assessment, and optimization techniques. - Experience in on-site inspections, wind data analysis, and site suitability assessments. - Familiarity with IEC standards, grid compliance, and international wind energy regulations. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for conducting AEP assessment of operational WTG assets in their as-built plant configuration, considering wake effects, environmental impacts, and their influence on wind generation performance. Additionally, you will be analyzing the performance of WTGs in operational plants. Your role will involve supporting in the preparation of O&M generation budget and creating DPRs for wind and hybrid projects to secure project funding. You will be conducting yield assessments and site suitability evaluations to ensure wind turbine models are suitable for recommended sites. Furthermore, you will be tasked with organizing and evaluating technical due diligence outcomes of various OEMs and wind turbine models. This includes validating micrositing, obstacle, and terrain for wind resource assessment. You will also be responsible for energy yield assessment for both wind projects and the wind component in hybrid projects. Maintaining the company's Wind resource database and being proficient in global virtual wind database systems is crucial for this role. You should have expertise in utilizing software such as windPRO, WAsP, Openwind, or similar open-source programs. Your responsibilities will also include performing and assessing Power curve verification for different models and OEMs. Conducting site audits independently to evaluate sites for generation improvement will be part of your duties.,

Qualification: B.E. Electrical Engineering Experience Level: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Wind Resource, Energy Yield, and Performance Analysis of Wind farms. Hiring Time Frame: Immediate Responsibility: - Responsible for conducting performance analysis of solar PV plants in operation which would essentially include: - Analysis and development of wind resource meteorological files for use in simulation software: Windographer, WASP, Windfarmer, OpenWind and WindSim. - Analysis and development of solar resource meteorological files for use in simulation software for PVsyst / PVlib / SAM / Plant Predict. - Analysis of energy production data from wind projects, including comparison of operating vs. modelled data, downtime analyses. This would be for both wind and solar. - Statistical Analysis of Long-Term Energy Yields - Qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Python and Excel. - Performance Analysis of WTGs, PV arrays, power electronic devices and electrical equipment based on recorded SCADA data. - Technology and Design Optimisation of windfarms, solar PV plants and wind-solar hybrids using analytical methods. - Technology evaluation and detailed review of key equipment forming a windfarm/solar PV plant. - Computing Bill of Quantities from basic designs and layouts - Review test procedures for plant acceptance proposed by the test party and evaluate the performance of wind projects. Required Skills: - Minimum Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical / Mechanical). - Demonstrated experience in Python, MATLAB and Excel-based data analysis. - 3 years of work experience in wind resource assessment. - Understanding of windfarms, turbine technologies, energy yield analysis using simulation software. - Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data. - Ability to write and compose clear and accurate reports in English - Knowledge of the Indian wind market. - Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others. - Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs. - Drive continuous improvements by identifying deficiencies in existing tools and methods. - Available to travel periodically to remote windfarm and Owner/Customer locations in India or abroad.
